July is National Blueberry Month! 🫐

Blueberries aren't just delicious—they're also packed with nutrition. These tiny berries are low in calories but rich in essential nutrients like vitamin C, vitamin K, and fiber. Even better? Blueberries are known for having some of the highest antioxidant levels among common fruits and vegetables, making them a true superfood.1
Surprisingly, blueberries weren’t grown commercially until the early 1900s. It wasn’t until the pioneering efforts of Elizabeth Coleman White, along with USDA botanist Dr. Frederick V. Coville, that blueberries were successfully cultivated. Their collaboration led to the domestication of wild blueberries, making it possible for farms and backyard gardeners alike to enjoy growing these vibrant, nutritious berries.2
So, whether you’re snacking, baking, or blending, July is the perfect time to celebrate all things blueberry!

Looking for a light and festive dessert to wow your guests this 4th of July? This Red, White, and Blue Pudding Trifle recipe is a perfect choice! It’s light, low-fat, and layered with patriotic colors that make it as beautiful as it is delicious.3
Ingredients: (Serves 16)
1 oz instant vanilla pudding mix (sugar-free, fat-free)
2 cups fat-free milk
8 oz light whipped topping (thawed)
2½ cups blueberries (divided)
2½ cups raspberries (divided)
1½ cups sliced strawberries
How to Make It:
Make the pudding per the box instructions.
Fold in the topping: Gently fold in the whipped topping to create a light, fluffy mixture.
Layer the trifle: In a clear trifle bowl (or any large glass bowl), layer the ingredients like this:
⅓ of the pudding mixture
2 cups of raspberries
Another ⅓ of the pudding
2 cups of blueberries
Final layer of pudding
Top it all off: Decorate the top with the remaining berries—½ cup raspberries, ½ cup blueberries, and all of the sliced strawberries.
